Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) – 6 Months (Initial) – £1000p/d (Inside of IR35) – London

Leading University requires now requires a hands-on Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is required to take immediate ownership of two critical incidents, providing calm leadership, structure, and direction in a complex environment.

This is a senior operator role, suited to someone who combines strategic authority with the ability to execute at pace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong background in Incident Management, previous experience managing major incidents
• Able to take ownership and lead under pressure
• Hands-on, practical, and delivery-focused
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
• Calm, credible, and easy to work with

Key Requirements:

• Leading active security incidents through to resolution
• Bringing structure, clarity, and control to the situation
• Acting as a key point of leadership for teams and stakeholders
• Communicating clearly with senior leadership
• Helping stabilise and improve the overall security position
