Consultant Psychiatrist

We are working with the leading independent provider of mental health and adult social care in the UK that has a “good” CQC rating. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with mutli-disciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic and person-centered care with tailored treatment plans based on the recovery model. This role specialises in Eating Disorders however the client is willing to sponsor training if not specialised.

Job Responsibilities

• Assume clinical responsibility for patients, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, undertaking comprehensive risk and strategic reviews, and promoting a therapeutic environment.
• Fulfil the duties of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
• Oversee referral and admission processes, contributing to pre-admission assessments in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Actively contribute to management and clinical governance meetings, supporting high standards of care and the ongoing development of service strategy.
• Support and deliver internal training initiatives, offering clinical supervision to members of the multidisciplinary team, with a particular focus on junior medical staff.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of services in partnership with the Lead Consultant and Clinical Service Manager.
• GMC registered
• CCST/CCT (Or equivalent) in relevant area
• Experience working within an inpatient setting
• Strong interpersonal and sophisticated communication skills
• Willingness to train and learn
• Right to work in the UK
