We’re partnered with a global, market-leading business operating at the intersection of distribution, formulation and technical expertise across a range of specialist products. With a strong international footprint and a reputation for commercial and operational excellence, our partner continues to grow and invest across its UK operations. As part of this growth, they’re looking to appoint a Management Accountant to play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight and supporting commercial decision-making across the business.

The opportunity

This is a high-impact role within a complex, product-led environment. You’ll sit at the heart of finance, working closely with commercial and operational teams to drive performance, improve visibility and support strategic decision-making.

It’s ideal for someone who enjoys a hands‑on role with real breadth combining reporting, analysis, business partnering and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and clear commentary
  • Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve performance
  • Support VAT and statutory reporting requirements
  • Analyse margins, costs and profitability across product lines
  • Partner with commercial teams on pricing and financial performance
  • Manage inventory accounting and support stock optimisation
  • Work closely with operations and supply chain to improve working capital
  • Support audits, controls and ensure compliance with financial policies
  • Contribute to ongoing finance and business improvement projects

Requirements

  • Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA)
  • Experience within a product-led environment (e.g. retail, manufacturing, distribution)
  • Strong background in management accounting, reporting and analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP or similar)
  • Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Confident working in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity or multi‑currency environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders
  • Organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities
