Finance Business Partner | PE-Backed CleanTech | £70k–£75k | London | Start Date: ASAP
I’m partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed CleanTech business that is scaling rapidly through organic growth and acquisitions and is looking to hire a Finance Business Partner into its central finance team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, technically strong ACA, ACCA, or CIMA-qualified accountant to gain exposure to operations finance, group reporting, budgeting & forecasting, and acquisition integration in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
The role will involve:
- Partnering with Operations and senior leadership to provide financial insight, modelling, and decision support.
- Producing detailed budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and operational performance metrics (e.g., recycling rate, cost per tonne, driver utilisation).
- Preparing weekly and monthly management reporting decks, reconciling to management accounts, and maintaining live Power BI dashboards.
- Supporting M&A activity, including analysing potential synergies, reviewing completion accounts, and updating post-acquisition models.
- Driving improvements to finance systems, reporting processes, and internal controls across operations.
- Producing ESG-related reporting, including carbon emissions and impact metrics, for board packs and internal stakeholders.
What they’re looking for:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity, PE-backed environment.
- Excellent Excel skills, Power BI experience; ERP familiarity (NetSuite, MS Dynamics, or similar) advantageous.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable supporting operational growth and post-acquisition integration.
