Private Equity AI Value Creation

Finatal is working with a mid-market private equity fund looking to hire into its value creation team.

The hire will focus on implementing the fund’s operating playbook across portfolio companies, using AI tools and workflows to enable faster, more efficient execution of value creation initiatives.

This is a hands-on role, suited to someone who is highly AI-literate and enjoys applying tools in a practical business context, rather than operating purely at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the rollout of the fund’s value creation playbook across portfolio companies
• Apply AI tools (e.g. LLMs, automation platforms) to improve execution across key workstreams (e.g. sales, pricing, customer analysis, internal processes)
• Work alongside portfolio company teams to embed AI-enabled workflows into day-to-day operations
• Translate value creation initiatives into practical, tool-driven solutions
• Assist in identifying high-impact use cases for AI across the portfolio
• Build and standardise repeatable templates, prompts, and processes
• Support tracking of initiative performance and impact

Candidate Profile

• Experience in consulting, private equity, tech, or a similar environment
• Strong practical familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT / Claude / automation tools), applied in a business or operational context
• Highly execution-oriented, with a bias toward action and problem-solving
• Comfortable working directly with data, tools, and workflows (not just PowerPoint)
• Strong commercial awareness and interest in private equity
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
