FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER – FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Oxted – 3 DAYS OFFICE / 2 HOME – PERMANENT – COMMERCIAL, CLIENT-FOCUSED FINANCE ROLE

We’re working with a growing facilities management business looking to strengthen its finance team with a hands‑on Finance Business Partner. This role supports a wide range of contracts, combining core accounting responsibilities with client reporting and operational collaboration. It’s well suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants to play a visible role in how finance supports the wider business.

WISH LIST

  • Background in management accounts or business partnering, ideally within a contract‑based or multi‑site environment
  • Confident managing large volumes of financial data across reporting, billing and reconciliations
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes

THE ROLE

  • Lead financial reporting across a portfolio of contracts, ensuring clarity and accuracy for internal and client use
  • Deliver monthly management accounts with a focus on insight, not just numbers
  • Maintain and review balance sheet positions, including cash and client‑related accounts
  • Work alongside operational teams to review monthly performance and investigate variances
  • Support and oversee the invoicing cycle, ensuring alignment with contract outputs
  • Drive improvements in month‑end processes to increase efficiency and reduce timelines
  • Build a strong understanding of contract performance, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, factoring in cost pressures and commercial changes
  • Produce contract‑level financial packs for review with both internal teams and clients
  • Monitor contract changes and ensure financials reflect any updates quickly and accurately
  • Support forecasting cycles and ongoing reporting enhancements
  • Get involved in wider finance initiatives, particularly around systems and process improvements

YOUR PROFILE

  • Open to Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), Part‑Qualified (active studier), or QBE accountants
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Comfortable working in a detailed, high‑volume environment with multiple data streams
  • Able to build relationships across finance and operations, bringing a practical and commercial mindset
