Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (9 months, Full-Time – Maternity Cover)
Overview
Our client, a global mission-driven organisation, is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support its international programmes and institutional funding portfolio.
This role sits within a high-performing global finance team and plays a critical part in delivering financial insight, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic decision-making across programme delivery.
You will partner with senior stakeholders, providing financial leadership across planning, reporting, and performance to maximise impact and ensure robust financial management.
Responsibilities
- Provide finance business partnering support to programme and central teams
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting and performance analysis
- Support institutional income streams, including grant and donor funding
- Strengthen financial controls, audit processes, and compliance frameworks
- Drive business process improvements and efficiencies across finance operations
- Partner with stakeholders to support decision-making and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to financial oversight of complex programmes, including consortium and contract-based projects
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, including advanced Excel
- Proven experience in finance business partnering within complex organisations
- Experience with institutional funding, grants, or donor-funded programmes
- Knowledge of consortium projects or commercial contracts (desirable)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work proactively, manage priorities, and deliver in a dynamic environment
- Solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
