Overview
We are looking for an experienced data strategy and governance specialist to lead consulting engagements that help clients achieve efficient, compliant, and value‑driven data practices. The role will build a pipeline of work, coach a growing technical team, and deliver high‑impact solutions to senior clients.
Responsibilities
As a senior consultant you will:
- Build and nurture a pipeline of data strategy and governance opportunities across the UK.
- Lead solution development, proposal creation, commercial negotiation, and advisory engagements.
- Coach and mentor the technical team on best practices and career growth.
- Translate complex business challenges into data‑driven solutions that deliver measurable ROI.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a clear vision, up‑to‑date knowledge of modern data technologies, excellent problem‑solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and an agile mindset.
- Strong network across the UK and a demonstrable track record of originating, shaping, and converting consulting opportunities for data strategy, governance, and data management engagements.
- Consulting experience spanning solution design, proposal creation, commercial negotiation, and building trusted advisor relationships at senior client levels.
- Proven experience leading teams and projects with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Collaborative, client‑centric approach with the ability to translate business problems into compelling data‑led solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges and drive projects forward.
- Knowledge of key business challenges and how data strategy, governance principles, and modern data management technologies can enable improved decision‑making, efficiency, regulatory compliance, and value creation.
- Significant experience in data strategy development, data governance frameworks, data management capabilities, data policies/standards, data tooling, and stewardship models or a closely related field.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Services, DAMA, DCAM) can be beneficial.
