Child Care Solicitor – Huddersfield

The Role

This position involves representing adoption carers – including grandparents, aunts, uncles and extended family members – in care proceedings. You will provide advice and representation in matters involving:

    n

  • Special Guardianship Orders
  • Support plans and allowances
  • Care proceedings

About You

    n

  • Ideally 1+ year PQE, although applications from all experience levels will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of child care law, particularly care proceedings and special guardianship matters
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, client-focused approach
  • Experience with legal aid eligibility and/or billing for legally aided matters
  • Confident undertaking advocacy or keen to further develop advocacy skills
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment
