Job Description
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for delivering projects from initial planning through to completion. Working closely with clients, internal teams, and key stakeholders, you will coordinate survey and digital delivery teams, ensure technical solutions are fit for purpose, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including methodology, resources, timelines, and risk management
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
Client Management & Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and changes
- Lead client meetings, technical discussions, and progress reviews to ensure alignment and manage expectations
Commercial & Financial Management
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure strong financial performance
- Support commercial activities including pricing, quotations, and scope definition
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise project profitability
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead project kick-off meetings, clearly communicating scope, programme, and safety requirements
- Coordinate resources and provide guidance to project teams to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Apply geospatial and surveying expertise to validate technical approaches and ensure accuracy
- Review project outputs and support teams in resolving technical challenges
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of survey methods such as topographical surveys, laser scanning, mobile mapping, and monitoring
Data Management & Compliance
- Ensure robust data management processes aligned with industry standards such as PAS 128 and RICS guidance
- Maintain high standards of quality control, data accuracy, and secure data handling for reporting and audits
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Ensure all activities comply with UK health & safety legislation, including CDM regulations and company policies
- Prepare and review RAMS, promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across projects
About You
- Degree in Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Proven experience managing geospatial or digital construction projects within the built environment or infrastructure sectors
- Strong understanding of modern survey technologies and methodologies
- Experience interpreting specifications and defining technical project requirements
- Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial processes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly
- Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
