Data Analyst

Job Description You will work across diverse datasets to uncover patterns, highlight trends, and identify opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will bring strong technical capability, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and resolve data quality issues by engaging with data owners. Apply analytical techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships in data. Translate complex findings into meaningful insights that support business decisions. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored analytical outputs. Ensure adherence to data governance standards, policies, and security requirements. Track KPIs and service metrics to assess business performance and recommend improvements. Contribute to the development and maintenance of data models and wider data products. Investigate anomalies and unexpected trends, providing evidence-based recommendations. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Data analysis and exploration, with the ability to work with large datasets and extract insights. Strong data cleaning, preparation, and validation expertise. Proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, joining tables, and optimising performance. Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau. Understanding of statistical methods, probability, distributions, and basic modelling. Awareness of data governance, data quality standards, lineage, security, and compliance. Critical thinking, root cause analysis, business acumen and exceptional attention to detail.
