Job Description We are looking for a technical expert who can provide authoritative guidance on accounting standards, support key financial decision-making, and act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and external auditors. This role will also support the delivery of month-end and year-end activities, manage financial risks, and implement new accounting requirements across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts across multiple entities. Provide expert technical accounting guidance in line with IFRS and statutory reporting standards. Prepare and review technical accounting papers and policies to support key decisions and Board reporting. Act as a primary contact for external auditors and manage audit-related queries. Support and oversee month-end close activities, including IFRS 16, pensions, and provisions. Identify, assess, and manage financial and regulatory risk within reporting processes. Drive the implementation of new accounting standards and policy changes across the organisation. Ensure high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all statutory reporting outputs. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and statutory reporting standards. Proven experience in statutory accounts preparation and external audit engagement. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience developing and implementing accounting policies. Solid understanding of financial risk and compliance. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
