We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of clients while ensuring seamless project delivery and outstanding service. This role will focus on client relationship management, strategic account development and overseeing delivery to the highest standard.

Who are you?
The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident in managing multiple client relationships. You will take a proactive and consultative approach, understanding client objectives and aligning A Story Called’s services to deliver measurable value.
You will be confident leading conversations, shaping briefs and managing delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
You will have at least 3 years of experience in an Account Management role with a similar level of Project Management experience in an agency environment.
What does the job involve?
Although this role will focus heavily on client relationship management and growth, as part of a full-service agency, you will oversee delivery across multiple marketing disciplines.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients (up to approximately £1m)
- Build deep relationships with key stakeholders and understand their business challenges
- Shape and refine client briefs to align deliverables with strategic objectives
- Provide regular updates, reports and insights including campaign reporting and quarterly reviews
- Advocate for the client internally while balancing commercial and strategic priorities
Project & Delivery Management
- Manage projects from planning through execution to reporting
- Ensure delivery on time, within budget and to brief
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans for delivery teams
- Maintain accurate reporting across budgets, billable time and campaign performance
- Ensure quality standards and alignment with client objectives
Strategic Account Development
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling
- Collaborate with leadership on tailored proposals and pitches
- Lead strategy meetings to uncover growth opportunities
- Work towards clear revenue targets and expansion goals
- Use NPS and client feedback to inform improvements
Budget, Commercial & Resource Management
- Manage client budgets to maximise profitability and long-term value
- Accurately forecast revenue and track performance
- Manage scope changes, retainer renewals and commercial conversations
- Allocate resources efficiently across internal teams and partners
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Refine client service processes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Adopt and explore new ways of working through automation, AI and emerging technologies.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture learnings and improve future delivery

Salary range: £35k-£40k pa DOE
