Lexham Partners is a multi-strategy private markets investment firm, with a growing corporate finance advisory business. We advise founders, management teams, boards and investors on M&A, capital raising and strategic transactions, bringing together execution capability with the judgement and commercial perspective of an active principal investor.
The Role
This is an opportunity for an ambitious analyst to join a fast-growing platform at an early stage and gain broad exposure across M&A, capital raising, strategic advisory and private markets transactions. The role will suit someone who is intellectually sharp, commercially minded and wants to work in an entrepreneurial environment with significant responsibility from day one.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the team and will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, client materials and market research.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the sell-side, buy-side, fundraising and broader strategic advisory mandates
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation, operating models and transaction structuring analysis
- Prepare high-quality client materials, including pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations and board papers
- Conduct sector, company and market research to support live mandates and business development activity
- Analyse financial statements, business plans and investment materials to identify key commercial and financial issues
- Assist in managing due diligence processes, data rooms and transaction workstreams
- Support interactions with clients, counterparties, investors and other advisers throughout a transaction lifecycle
- Help identify prospective opportunities and contribute to the growth of the advisory business through origination and internal strategic initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider private markets platform where relevant
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with strong analytical ability, sound judgement and a genuine interest in advisory and private markets.
- 1–3 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, transaction services, consulting, private equity or a related field
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and strong commercial judgement
- Motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
