Overview

We are looking to appoint an Events Manager on a casual contract to event manage both commercial hire and school events at Langley Park Centre for the Performing Arts.

  • Strong experience in theatre, live events, or venue operations, with a clear understanding of front-of-house and technical event requirements
  • Confident in managing events independently, ensuring smooth running from opening the venue to close-down
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with visiting companies, school staff, students, and members of the public
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to last-minute changes
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment
  • Commitment to providing a safe, welcoming and professional environment for audiences and performers
  • Knowledge of basic health & safety, safeguarding and emergency procedures, or willingness to undertake training
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, in line with the theatre’s events schedule
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality audience experiences
