Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per year (DOE)

Role: Full-time, Permanent

Location: South England – Bristol/Oxford/Reading/London (Hybrid, WFH with travel required)

A leading passive fire protection and fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Consultant to join their highly skilled team. This is a chance to lead one of the company’s major nationwide accounts, providing specialist passive fire protection consultancy services across approximately 70 buildings throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct annual audits of buildings and property management systems.
  • Carry out fire protection surveys and compliance inspections of completed works.
  • Produce specifications for fire protection works to be completed by others.
  • Undertake both intrusive and non-intrusive surveys of fire compartmentation (firestopping, fire doors, etc.).
  • Prepare evidence-based reports for clients and provide guidance on remedial works to ensure compliance.
  • Lead meetings with client teams in-person and via video calls.
  • Manage your own diary, travel to multiple sites across the UK (London, Cardiff, Leeds, Glasgow, Margate, others as required), and occasionally stay overnight.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in fire protection, fire safety, or building surveying.
  • Keen eye for detail and strong report writing skills.
  • Proficient in surveying apps, PDF software, and evidence-based assessment.
  • Clean driving license and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Passive Fire Protection or Level 4 in Fire Safety (additional training can be provided).
  • Commitment to continual professional development and research.
  • £55,000-£65,000 per year depending on experience.
  • 37.5 hours per week, flexible working arrangements.
  • 28 days holiday (including statutory), increasing with service.
