As a Support Worker in our service, you will help individuals with learning disabilities develop independence and confidence in their daily lives. You will work alongside colleagues to provide consistent and person centred support. Supporting individuals with personal routines and daily living activities* Encouraging independence and supporting life skills* Supporting individuals with meals, household tasks and budgeting* Supporting individuals to access community activities and opportunities* Acting as a key worker and supporting care planning* Maintaining accurate records and support notes* Supporting a safe and welcoming environment You will be reliable, compassionate and motivated to support people to achieve their goals. You will understand the importance of respectful, person centred support that promotes independence. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided. Basic IT skills are required for completing records and training. You will be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.
