We are working with a well-established, privately owned building services consultancy with over 25 years experience delivering sustainable engineering design across London and internationally.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking anSenior Electrical Design Engineer with a proven background in UK building services consultancy to join their London team.
The Role
You will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a range of sectors, including commercial offices, high-end residential, and student accommodation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical design from concept through to completion
- Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications, and technical reports
- Designing in line with UK Building Regulations, BS standards, and CIBSE guidance
- Delivering designs using Amtech (Trimble), Dialux/Relux, and Revit MEP
- Managing project delivery, budgets, and timelines
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and project teams
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
Requirements (Essential)
- 5+ years experience in a UK building services consultancy
- Strong experience in electrical building services design (power, lighting, small power, etc.)
- Working knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and UK Building Regulations
- Proficiency in Amtech (Trimble), Dialux or Relux, and Revit MEP
- Experience managing projects and client relationships
Desirable
- Chartered or working towards CIBSE / IET
- Experience delivering low-carbon / sustainable design solutions
- Previous experience at Associate level (for senior applicants), including team leadership and client development
