We are a Mayfair-based, FCA-regulated investment management firm seeking a highly motivated Hedge Fund Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operational processes of our hedge fund strategies, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong operational controls across the fund lifecycle.
This is an excellent on‑site opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with a strong understanding of hedge fund operations who is looking to develop within a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Productively liaise on a daily basis across multiple stakeholders: Accounting, Fund Administrator, Prime Broker, Counterparties, Portfolio Managers.
- Maintain up‑to‑date operational due diligence (ODD) on counterparties.
- Coordinate the due diligence and audit process, working with managers and other external service providers.
- Coordinate various internal meetings, i.e. risk meetings, board meetings.
- Support the operations team with the full new fund set‑up process.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline current procedures and processes.
- Support the compliance and risk team.
- Support NAV oversight by reviewing administrator calculations and investigating discrepancies.
- Conduct operational due diligence on external fund managers as an integral part of the selection process in various asset classes with a focus on hedge funds, private equity, private debt and real asset alternative investments.
- Prepare interviews including on‑site visits: counterparties and portfolio teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, or middle office within an asset manager, hedge fund, or prime brokerage environment.
- Strong knowledge of hedge fund operational processes including trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and NAV oversight.
- Familiarity with derivatives and OTC products is advantageous.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment for UK investment firms, including FCA requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Bloomberg, OMS/PMS systems, or reconciliation platforms is a plus.
