Technical Accounting Manager – Watford
JSS are proud to be partnering with a well known business based in Watford recruiting a Technical Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone ACA or ACCA qualified, audit trained who has audited large complex PLC/Listed companies under IFRS. The role will manage and be responsible for all IFRS technical accounting – financial statements, audit and group policies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the financial statements of the Group and its subsidiaries are in line with prevailing accounting standards, on time and to a high standard
- Ensure internal policies are appropriate, fit for purpose and consistent with International accounting requirements as set out in IAS’s and IFRS’s
- Capture and communicate all accounting requirements to the wider finance teams
- Provide accurate technical accounting across the group, including drafting technical accounting memos and owning the Group Accounting Policy
- Deliver a true and fair set of financial statements through the year‑end audit process and engage effectively with External Auditors
- Manage the month‑end close process and reporting cycle by partnering with the wider finance teams to deliver an insightful close process
Essential Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified, audit trained on large plc clients
- Ideally experience of auditing PLC/Listed clients
- Statutory accounts preparation across multiple entities
- Technical accounting IFRS 15, 16 experience
- Experience with audit processes and external auditor liaison
Offer
A salary of circa £75,000‑£77,000 plus £5,000 car allowance, 16% bonus plus benefits. xwzovoh
