We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior housing professional to lead the Temporary Accommodation, Housing Register and Allocations services within a busy local authority in Berkshire.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership, overseeing Temporary Accommodation provision, procurement and management, while ensuring compliance with housing legislation. A key priority will be delivering the B&B elimination plan – reducing reliance on unsuitable accommodation and supporting residents into sustainable housing. You will also lead the Housing Register and allocations scheme, ensuring a fair, transparent and effective lettings process.
The role requires strong financial oversight, partnership working and a focus on continuous service improvement, enhancing performance and customer outcomes.
You will bring significant senior-level experience in local authority housing, with expertise in homelessness legislation, allocations and service transformation. Strong leadership, communication and political awareness are essential.
