Contracts & Operations Manager
South of England and London (field-based) • £45,000 + company van • Permanent • 40 hours per week plus overtime
We are working with a well-established and growing service-led business who are looking for an experienced Contracts & Operations Manager to join their team.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be out across multiple sites, managing teams, overseeing projects and ensuring work is delivered to a high standard. It would suit someone who enjoys a varied role and has experience within a commercial or specialist cleaning / maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Contracts & Operations Manager
- Overseeing multiple active sites and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Managing teams and subcontractors on a day‑to‑day basis
- Carrying out site visits, quality checks and audits
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures and documentation are in place
- Building strong relationships with clients and maintaining service levels
- Supporting with recruitment, training and development of staff
- Managing schedules, resources and equipment
- Assisting with quotes, site surveys and new project requirements
- Overseeing project delivery, including out-of-hours work where required
Key Requirements of the Contracts & Operations Manager
- Previous experience within a similar contracts or operations role
- Background within cleaning, facilities, or specialist external maintenance services (e.g. commercial cleaning, building maintenance, or similar)
- Experience managing multiple sites and teams
- Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance
- Confident working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to make decisions
- Full UK driving licence
