Contracts Manager – Industrial Roofing

Location: Southampton

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 + bonus

Type: Full-time

Overview

We are currently working with an established industrial roofing contractor seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee projects across the Southampton region (within a 2-hour travel radius). This role combines office and site-based responsibilities and is ideal for an experienced Contracts Manager or someone looking to step up from Assistant, Site Manager, or Supervisor level.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contracts from setup through to completion
• Plan and schedule labour, materials, and resources
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RAMS
• Monitor budgets, costs, and project performance
• Handle variations, valuations, and invoicing
• Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractors
• Ensure quality standards and compliance with specifications
• Enforce Health & Safety regulations, including CDM 2015
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress reviews
• Act as main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Lead and support site teams and subcontractors
• Provide regular project updates to senior management

Requirements

• Experience in industrial roofing, cladding, or building envelope projects
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of metal roofing systems (single-ply, liquid systems)
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
• Relevant certifications (CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS preferred)
• Good organisational, leadership, and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

• £50,000 – £70,000 salary (DOE) + bonus

Additional Information

Applicants should be able to commute to or relocate to Southampton. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
