As Pool & Plant Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of all Aztec wet facilities, including pools, plant operations, and Fire & Ice. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence, while supporting the wider Aztec management team.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day running of all Aztec wet leisure facilities
- Overseeing all plant operations, water quality, and compliance standards
- Ensuring all facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained at all times
- Leading recruitment, induction, and development of team members
- Monitoring and maintaining Health & Safety, Fire regulations, and C.O.S.H.H compliance
- Managing staffing levels, rotas, and payroll budgets effectively
- Supporting Duty Managers through regular check‑ins, coaching, and development
- Liaising with suppliers and maintaining operational systems and quality standards
- Ensuring all policies (EOP/NOP) are up to date and compliant
- Maintaining Aztec’s status as an accredited training centre
- Enhancing guest experience through high standards of service and facility delivery
- Supporting budget planning and cost control for the department
- Reporting operational performance and issues to senior leadership

Qualifications
- A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Pool Plant Room certification
- Previous experience managing pool or wet leisure facilities
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standards
- A proactive, solution-focused approach
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills
- A professional and customer-focused attitude
