Overview

Our client is looking for a Fabric Migration Engineer. You will have strong experience designing and delivering Azure‑based data platform solutions, particularly around migrating Synapse to Fabric SWP warehouse to Fabric Power BI.

Skills Required

• Microsoft Fabric
• Power App
• Azure Synapse
• Power BI
• Azure SQL / SQL Server
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Azure ADF and Data Bricks
• File format partitioning (Parquet, JSON, XML, CSV, Delta Lake)
• Azure DevOps / GitHub

Responsibilities

• Migrate Synapse to Fabric
• Write Python/PySpark and Spark SQL code for validation/curation in notebooks
• Create data integration test cases
• Implement or amend worker pipelines
• Implement data validation/curation rules
• Convert data model and technical data mapping
• Implement integrations
• Data migration implementation and execution
• Data analysis (profiling, etc.)

Position is based remotely with occasional travel to Sheffield when requested. The contract is inside IR35.
