Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Plumber – FM Service Provider – Chesterford – £45,000

An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in Chesterford, Essex. CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Plumber to be based in a commercial estate of buildings near Chesterford, Essex. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive Mechanical / Plumbing maintenance alongside the maintenance team.

Hours of Work

• Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
• £45,000
• 25 Days Holiday
• Extra 1 Day off for Birthday
• Overtime available
• Parking available on site

Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ
• NVQ in Mechanical & Plumbing
• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• An understanding of the following is essential: L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer skills

Mechanical Duties

• Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
• AHUs/FCUs – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
• Pumps – PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
• Motors – PPMs (re-winds, overhauls)
• Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
• Water pressurization units
• Chlorifiers – annual inspection, descaling
• Steam Plant
• Condensers, Condenser Returns
• Cooling towers
• Softeners
• Humidifiers
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Boilers – re-sets
• Chillers – re-sets, 1st Line faults
