MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading food business on the search for a Shift production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive performance of your team and support functions to deliver efficiency.
  • Seek out new and innovative ways to deal with production issues, utilizing CI techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all site Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Execute the shift training plan to improve performance / flexibility and organise any additional training through gap analysis that may be required.
  • Being responsible for the management and development of Team Leaders and colleagues.
  • Leading your shift on all food safety, health & safety and quality standards adherence.
  • Taking the lead on your shift for customer visits and audits, ensuring effective planning, co-ordination and delivery.
  • Help to implement continuous improvement initiatives across a range of areas.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years managing teams within a fast-paced food or beverage manufacturing environment e.g. multiple SKUs, product changeovers, packaging variants etc.
  • Understands how KPIs are developed, and a track record of achieving results and ‘raising the bar’. Must be familiar with Production Performance Measurements.
  • Experience of continuous improvement in a production environment of implementing change through effective management.
  • Strong management skills and an ability to operate and make decisions under pressure, whilst having your team at the forefront of your mind. Must be people orientated.
  • A proven track record of close working relationships with all operational functions and an appreciation of what each function is required to achieve to execute the plan.
  • Experience of CI within FMCG
