Mechanical Design Engineer

I am currently working with a well-established engineering business in Sheffield; they are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 2 years’ experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings for manufacture
• Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical
• Liaise with customers and internal teams on design specifications
• Support projects from concept through to completion
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulations

Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role
• Experience using 2D and 3D AutoCAD
• Experience producing engineering drawings for manufacture
• Automotive industry experience is (desired)
• Experience designing commercial vehicles, pressure vessels or tanks (desired)
