Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Wigan & Surrounding Areas

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £43,000 – £50,000 per year

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a busy and growing mechanical services team operating across the North West.

This is a full-time, permanent position focused exclusively on commercial and retail sites — no domestic work.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults on commercial gas appliances and associated plant
• Complete reactive repairs and follow-up works
• Carry out planned servicing of gas appliances and systems
• Complete all gas safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial gas maintenance and breakdowns
• Valid Commercial ACS certification (essential)
• Domestic ACS, OFTEC, or oil experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Additional certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS are desirable
• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
