SEN Case Officer

Fully Remote

Rate: £280 per day (Umbrella)

Contract: 6 months

Start Date: End of April – End of October

Hours: 37 hours per week

A local authority is seeking experienced SEN Case Officers to support their current backlog of work. This fully remote role offers the chance to work across a range of statutory SEND responsibilities, including assessments, reviews, and case management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
  • Conduct annual reviews and new assessments in line with statutory requirements.
  • Draft and amend EHCPs, liaising with parents, schools, and external agencies.
  • Present cases and contribute to decision‑making panels.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with council policies, SEND Code of Practice, and relevant legislation.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experienced in annual reviews and/or new assessments.
  • Strong understanding of statutory SEND processes.
  • Able to manage full casework responsibilities – this is not a role solely for completing reviews or assessments.
  • Confident working independently in a remote setting.
