About the Role

Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading construction and development business to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP / M&E experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive organisation delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK.

You will take ownership of the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of MEP / M&E packages from pre-construction through to final account
• Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts specific to building services works
• Procure and manage M&E subcontractors
• Assess and value variations, claims, and interim applications
• Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks within MEP packages
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams
• Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on MEP / M&E works
• Background in construction, building services, or engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of contract forms such as JCT and NEC
• Experience managing subcontractor packages and complex services installations
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
