As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of strategic sales, unlock new markets, and drive significant revenue growth.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading new business strategy and delivering high-value client wins.

This is a senior role where you’ll:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Win and manage large, complex deals
  • Identify new market opportunities and partnerships

You’ll have full ownership of your pipeline and play a key role in shaping the commercial direction of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and executing a clear new business strategy aligned to company growth goals
  • Identifying, targeting, and securing high-value business opportunities
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to closing
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Conducting face‑to‑face meetings, presentations, and proposals (travel required)
  • Creating tailored, consultative solutions across utilities and waste services
  • Managing and growing a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Collaborating with internal teams (sales, marketing, commercial, operations) to deliver seamless client onboarding
  • Attending networking events, industry functions, and representing the brand externally
  • Providing insight and feedback to help shape commercial strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in business development or senior sales role (B2B)
  • Experience in utilities or energy sector (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated success in winning and closing high‑value deals
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial awareness
  • Confident presenting and negotiating with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to build long‑term client relationships and partnerships
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive results
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)
