Job Description:

A leading Investment bank is seeking a Programme Manager to lead a strategic transformation initiative focused on enhancing enterprise-wide risk and control capabilities.

This role is part of a broader Control Simplification Programme within the financial services sector, which is undergoing rapid evolution driven by regulatory expectations, operational resilience, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will lead delivery across multiple workstreams, collaborating with senior stakeholders and technology teams to embed sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control Transformation: Standardise and improve control programmes; accelerate simplification initiatives; lead new function rollouts.
  • Assurance & Automation: Redesign assurance operating model; define and deliver automated control testing platform.
  • Programme Delivery: Lead planning, execution, and governance; manage scope, risks, and reporting using Azure DevOps and Clarity.
  • Financial & Reporting Oversight: Oversee budgets and resource allocation; produce executive dashboards and reporting packs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as central contact across business units; lead communications and change readiness.
  • Technology Implementation: Collaborate with CIO and tech teams; apply hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery approaches.
  • Risk & Governance: Own programme risk profile; ensure compliance and post-implementation reviews.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Risk & Compliance Programme/Project Management
  • Strong project delivery and governance skills in Investment Banking Industry
  • Proven track record in regulatory programme execution
  • Experience implementing frameworks and control models
