Customer Logistics Manager

Location: Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Customer Logistics Manager to join a large, well-established logistics and transport business based in the Grimsby area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain operations who enjoys leading teams, managing customer relationships, and driving operational performance.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a multi-functional operation, overseeing customer service, warehouse and transport activity, while managing key customer accounts and ensuring high service standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team across customer service, warehouse and transport operations
  • Oversee a portfolio of key customer accounts, ensuring service levels and customer satisfaction remain high
  • Monitor and report on KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Handle rate reviews, spot quotes, credit control queries and commercial discussions
  • Manage WMS inventory and maintain accurate stock control across the operation
  • Lead projects focused on digitalisation, process improvement, standardisation and cost efficiency
  • Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Ensure service delivery is aligned with agreed SLAs and operational targets

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience within a logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain environment
  • Previous experience in customer account management, customer service management or logistics operations management
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or developing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and confident in reviewing performance data and identifying improvements
  • Able to make decisions independently and take ownership of workload
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be advantageous
  • A qualification in logistics, supply chain or a related field would be beneficial, but is not essential
