Overview
The Trust has embarked on a significant programme to procure its Main Command and Control system, known as a Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD), for the future. This programme of work is critical to the Trust and will be set against tight timeframes to ensure the future solution is delivered on time and within budget. This post represents a unique and exciting opportunity to operationally lead this critical programme of work from initial specification through to successful implementation and handover to BAU Operations. There will be a requirement for high levels of discretionary energy, a meticulous eye for detail and a drive to deliver this key programme of work. Responsibilities
- Act as the Business Change Manager – CAD System Renewal and lead the CAD renewal project.
- Work closely with the Head of EOC Change and lead a small senior operations team responsible for project delivery.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver the CAD renewal whilst collaborating with DDaT, the Projects Management Office, and other departments.
- Oversee involvement with critical strategic projects including telephony upgrades, Control Room solutions, Mobile Data Vehicle solutions and the Emergency Services Network.
- Ensure the project remains on time, within budget and meets the Trust’s quality and performance standards.
Person Specification
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with significant demonstrable experience.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Relevant postgraduate management qualification or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Registered PRINCE2 or Agile Practitioner.
