Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team and work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm on a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll play a key role in helping us deliver high‑quality, efficient services to a wide range of private sector clients, ensuring projects are well‑governed, commercially sound and delivered to a consistently high standard.

This role may involve regular travel away from your home office and periods of time spent working at client sites across the UK, offering variety and the opportunity to build strong, trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overarching responsibility for strategic planning and ongoing management of a portfolio of client projects of varying sizes, complexity and duration
  • Work collaboratively with lead consultants and clients to define project scope, objectives, milestones and delivery timelines
  • Establish and embed effective project governance, reporting and control frameworks
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Produce clear and comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Monitor project plans to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to scope
  • Chair and facilitate project meetings, including senior and Board‑level forums
  • Manage change through appropriate change control processes
  • Effectively manage project budgets and take corrective action where required
  • Support wider team objectives, including account development and new business opportunities
  • Mentor and coach colleagues, with potential line management responsibilities
  • Keep up to date with project management tools, techniques and best practice

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in a Programme or Project Management role or similar
  • Proven experience managing multiple, complex projects concurrently
  • Strong client‑facing consulting experience with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification, or strong experience using PRINCE methodologies
  • Proficient use of project management tools, techniques and relevant software
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and a collaborative approach to working
  • High attention to detail, resilience and commercial awareness
  • Experience in financial services or employee benefits consultancy would be advantageous
