We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive and highly organised School Business Manager who will play a pivotal role in both the strategic leadership and the day-to-day operational management of our busy, kind and caring primary school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to working within a school community and is keen to shape the ongoing development of provision for the children and families of Guiseley Primary School. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and the Governors to ensure the effective and efficient management of school finances, human resources, premises, health and safety and administrative systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school’s financial strategy and day-to-day financial operations
  • Oversee HR processes, staff contracts and personnel matters
  • Manage premises, facilities and health & safety compliance
  • Provide strategic advice to the Headteacher and Governing Body
  • Lead and support office systems to ensure efficient administration
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of our primary school including our school nursery and our busy wrap-around provision
  • Lead and manage safeguarding procedures within the school office infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Has proven experience in financial management (ideally within a school setting)
  • Has experience of HR management and sound knowledge of employment law
  • Will uphold the values and vision of the school
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check against the Children’s barred list will be carried out on preferred candidates
