We are looking for an experienced Administration and Compliance Manager to join our Team at Cygnet Taunton.

Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides acute inpatient admissions service for men and women and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability.

The hospital is situated in a rural setting amongst Taunton farmland, within acres of peaceful fields. This quiet and tranquil environment offers great benefit to our service users who are able to walk in the expansive hospital grounds and take in the countryside scenery. Taunton town centre offers contrast to the quieter country life with market places, shopping malls and many other entertainment areas such as restaurants, theatres and cinemas.

Your Day-to-Day…

£34,684 per annum

You’ll be working 40 hours a week in a mental health care setting in the administration department.

  • To provide leadership for multiple departments providing administrative to the hospital, including oversight of day to day functions and leadership to these teams.
  • To take the lead for the consistency, implementation and update of Policies and Procedures within the Hospital.
  • To manage and maintain governance, quality and audit systems within the Hospital, which reflect best practice, standards for better health and regulatory requirements.

You have…

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience or evidence of the same. Experience in healthcare environment
  • Previous management / supervisory experience
  • Team management skills including appropriate understanding of employment law and HR principles.
  • Proven ability and experience to manage and resolve crisis and conflict within the workplace.
  • Evidence of functioning in a substantive role as a policy and procedural auditor in a mental health setting within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experienced in the healthcare sector with a knowledge of mental health
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
