Overview

Operations Manager MSC. As part of Mitie Cleaning & Environmental Services, the Operations Manager MSC leads operational delivery across designated regions, ensuring service excellence, strong financial performance, and effective team leadership across specialist and general cleaning operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery, ensuring high-quality cleaning services and strong customer satisfaction.
• Line-manage team leaders and operational teams, providing coaching, feedback and development support.
• Ensure KPI, SLA and compliance requirements are consistently met across all contracts.
• Maintain strong financial management including labour planning, P&L awareness and cost control.
• Coordinate subcontractor activity, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted main point of contact.
• Champion system adoption including ServiceTrac, CASH and WP+ for performance and reporting.
• Support growth opportunities, retention activities and new service line development.

Person Specification

• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing dispersed operational teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support budgeting and financial reviews.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
• Problem-solving ability with a proactive, organised working style.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
