Due to continued growth within our thermo-chemical facility in Campsie we are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of our industrial chemical cleaning operations.

This role involves the day-to-day management of plant operations, staff, equipment, compliance, and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering, chemical handling, and health & safety regulations, as well as excellent leadership and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate operations for industrial chemical cleaning services across a range of sectors including manufacturing, utilities, and energy.
  • Plan and oversee daily job schedules, workforce deployment, and equipment logistics.
  • Ensure all operations comply with UK and NI safety legislation (including HSE NI, COSHH, ADR, and PPE regulations).
  • Promote and enforce a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all sites.
  • Oversee maintenance and readiness of equipment.
  • Ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor stock levels and procurement of chemicals, PPE, and tools in coordination with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Manage operational budgets and performance KPIs, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation, including job reports, safety audits, and equipment checklists.
  • Respond to emergency or unplanned work, including mobilisation for shutdowns and rapid-response projects.
  • Responsible as part of Management Team for developing new business both in terms of new processes and new customers.
  • Willingness to travel to join in customer and supplier visits and audits.
  • 10+ years’ experience in operations management within the industrial services, mechanical engineering or chemical engineering sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of chemical cleaning processes and associated risks.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with multi-skilled site teams.
  • In-depth understanding of health & safety standards in Northern Ireland.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work hands-on with process operations and to undertake out of hours work where necessary.
