Autism Initiatives Northern Ireland are seeking to recruit a People Operations Coordinator (Talent Attraction and Quality Compliance) to provide and deliver generalist HR support to the HR Manager and HR Adviser. Provide a high quality administrative support within the HR department and work to the key areas of responsibility.
This is a fast paced role, providing an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated and responsive team.
As an employee of Autism Initiatives, the post holder will also be expected to:
- Working with the HR team, leading the recruitment process end to end; including management of recruitment exercises and applications.
- Review of current recruitment practices, recommending improvements and efficiencies, as required.
- Coach and mentor new members of the team, to develop their understanding and knowledge on completing safe and fair recruitment practices and checks.
- Provide Recruitment and Selection training, advice and guidance to recruiting managers.
- Conduct spot checks of pre-employment files, ensuring our continued compliance. Address any issues that arise from these checks, to support team understanding and continued professional development.
- Lead on queries relating to employment; ensuring due diligence is conducted safely and fairly.
- Action vacancy requests, update and upload current vacancies to a range of advertising sites, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- To engage prospective candidates from expression of interest in order that we encourage applications and support our recruitment efforts.
- To be a key point of contact for Managers with regards to recruitment and provide updates as required from advert to appointment.
- Ensure the administration of Access NI applications and ensure they are processed and monitored in a timely manner in accordance with the regulatory bodies and local authority contracts.
- To produce and distribute accurate recruitment reports via the ATS, to support trend evaluation.
- Review areas of risk within the pre-employment process and highlight these to the HR Adviser. Highlight any trends in reasons for delays and contribute to the strategy to overcome these trends/risks.
- Work with managers to ensure the delivery of a professional and high-quality recruitment process ensuring this meets the needs of the people we support within agreed timeframes.
- Organise and participate in recruitment and related events throughout the year, to promote Autism Initiatives job opportunities.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure our advertising and brand presence is attractive and consistent with strategic aims.
- Building professional relationships with local Colleges, Universities, and relevant professionals, to promote our career opportunities and manage our advertising media used.

- CIPD level 3 or working towards this. Alternatively relevant professional qualification.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Working knowledge in HR related role / function.
- Proven ability and relevant experience in a recruitment role, demonstrating good judgement and decision-making skills, with a pragmatic and creative approach to problem solving.
- Working knowledge of current legislation in relation to end to end recruitment.
- Knowledge of recruitment regulations and Right to Work legal compliance.
- Develop, establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level communication skills, together with written communication skills for letters and report writing.
- Ability to use relevant IT (including MS Excel and databases) to analyse and interpret data and regularly report on information gathered to continually develop delivery.
- Able to work effectively under pressure, plan, prioritise and meet sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Respect, maintain and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Proactive, professional and adaptable to changing organisational needs.
- Familiar with the Access NI and RQIA recruitment standards.
- Working with HR database systems.
