As part of ElectraLink’s Sales and Marketing function, and reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the Sales Executive plays an important role in supporting the sales pipeline. The role focuses on engaging prospective clients across the energy industry as well as adjacent industries that require energy expertise to identify and develop new sales opportunities for the wider sales team.

The Sales Executive will build a strong understanding of the energy market and take a considered, professional approach to prospecting. This will include outreach via email, telephone, and LinkedIn, working closely with sales colleagues to ensure opportunities are well qualified and appropriately positioned. The role offers valuable exposure to consultative selling and close collaboration with experienced sales professionals.

Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective organisations that would benefit from ElectraLink’s products and services.
- Engage with potential clients through outbound channels to introduce ElectraLink’s offering and understand their needs.
- Qualify prospective customers by asking open, considered questions to assess suitability and timing.
- Work closely with the Senior Sales Manager to identify priority sectors and target audiences.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support the planning and delivery of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Use publicly available information to build accurate and well-informed lead profiles.
- Build strong, productive working relationships with the Sales team and key internal stakeholders.
- Manage the lead allocation process to ensure opportunities are distributed fairly and transparently across the Sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of activity and ensure agreed KPIs and reporting requirements are met.
Skills & Knowledge
- At least one year’s experience in a prospecting-based or lead generation role within the energy industry.
- Clear and confident verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working towards targets, with evidence of consistently meeting objectives.
- Resilient and able to handle objections in a professional and measured manner.
- Well organised, with good attention to detail.
