Location: Bedfordshire / North Hertfordshire
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum + 10% bonus + £1,000 for successful Ofsted registration
Dual Registration Salary: £80,000 per annum + company vehicle
Working Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
Annual Leave: Starting at 32 days, increasing to 35 days
Service: Children’s Home – Solo or 2-bed home
Service Users: YPs aged 11–17, EBD / Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties
Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or equivalent, or willingness to work towards
Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years working with children (last 5 years), including at least 1 year in a senior/management role

Who we are looking for…
We are seeking accountable, experienced, and positive Residential Home Managers who:
- Lead small children’s homes with purpose and compassion
- Manage staff, care planning, safeguarding, communication, reporting, and compliance
- Ensure policies and procedures are fully implemented and effective
- Develop constructive working relationships within the wider community to improve outcomes for children
- Ensure staff have the right skills, experience, and qualifications to provide continuity of care
- Manage the home in an aspirational and inspiring way for children and staff
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Supervision or management experience in a residential children’s home
- Experience working with children, young people, and families
- Knowledge of inter‑agency work
- Familiarity with children’s care planning, risk assessment, and review processes
- Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the impact of abuse or neglect
- Knowledge of education, health, social, emotional, and psychological needs of looked‑after children
