- Experience of financial strategy, risk management,assuranceand value for money.
- The ability to communicate clearly, ask thoughtfulquestions, collaborateconstructivelyand work strategically.
- Commitment to ethical leadership and the Nolan principles.
Your contribution
- Strengthen scrutiny of budgets, forecasting,reservesand long-term sustainability.
- Support compliance with funding and reporting requirements, ensuring regularity,proprietyand value for money.
- Help the board use sector tools (e.g. resource management, financial benchmarking) to inform decisions.
- Engage withacademyleaders to understand context, pressurepointsand opportunities.
Commitment
- Attendance at full board and committee meetings (mix of in-person and virtual).
- Voluntaryrole;reasonable expenses reimbursed. Induction and ongoing training provided.
- Term of office of 4 years from appointment.
