Real Estate (Regeneration) Legal Director

The Opportunity

Lead a team focusing on large-scale energy and utility projects, providing expert legal guidance on property-related matters within the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

Your caseload will include

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property agreements such as leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and land acquisition documents.
• Advising on land rights and title issues, including due diligence and resolving title defects.
• Supporting land assembly for major utility projects like grid upgrades and pipeline installations.
• Managing land access and securing third-party rights for infrastructure development.
• Negotiating infrastructure agreements and land access strategies for energy and utility clients.
• Leading legal project management to support the delivery of key mandates.
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior team members.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified solicitor with strong experience in commercial real estate law, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sectors.

Key requirements include

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Strong experience in commercial real estate law with a focus on utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of statutory undertaker rights and land law.
• Experience working with public sector bodies or regulated industries.
• Leadership experience with a focus on mentoring and team development.
• A strategic, client‑facing approach to legal services.
