London/ hybrid (2-3 days in office)

Initial 6-month contract

Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to support multiple clients across the public sector and health industry. This role will suit someone comfortable leading complex reporting work and improving processes through technology and data.

The Role

  • Deliver technical accounting and financial reporting support across a variety of public sector clients.
  • Apply public sector frameworks to real‑world reporting challenges.
  • Produce clear, high‑quality technical papers, analyses and reporting documentation.
  • Enhance reporting efficiency through automation, data tools and digital solutions.
  • Strengthen governance, control and reporting frameworks.
  • Lead workstreams and support junior team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • ACA (or equivalent) with strong public/health sector accounting experience – essential.
  • Proven background in technical accounting, reporting and controls advisory.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to simplify complex issues for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
  • Advanced Excel; experience with Power Query, Power BI or Alteryx is beneficial.
