About The Role

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive PA / Administrator to support our Director of People & Organisational Development (P&OD) at Avante Care & Support. This is a key role at the heart of the organisation, where you’ll provide dedicated one-to-one support to the Director while also playing an important part in the smooth running of the wider P&OD team. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing high-quality PA and administrative support to the Director
  • Managing a busy diary, coordinating meetings and ensuring thorough preparation
  • Producing professional reports, presentations and correspondence
  • Maintaining and improving systems, records and processes
  • Supporting HR administration, including DBS checks and occupational health processes
  • Responding to queries from managers and employees on policies and procedures
  • Coordinating internal events such as leadership sessions, team days and awards
  • Managing invoices, purchase orders and supplier relationships
  • Supporting internal communications, including newsletters and LinkedIn updates
  • Carrying out research and supporting project work

About You

You’ll be a person who is organised, detail-focused and confident working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

We’re Particularly Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience in a PA or administrative role (ideally within HR or social care)
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both written and verbal
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Can manage competing priorities and stay calm under pressure
  • Takes a proactive approach and enjoys solving problems
  • Understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience supporting senior stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience producing reports and presentations
  • Comfortable working with data and maintaining accurate systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Level 3 Business Administration (or working towards)
  • CIPD Level 3 (or an interest in working towards it)
