Role Summary
As the Reliability Engineering Lead in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you will spearhead the development and execution of asset reliability strategies to ensure consistent high-quality production. Leveraging data-driven maintenance practices and cross‑functional collaboration, you’ll lead efforts to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement, all while upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the MRE Pillar for KHMS across the site and foster a reliability culture within the maintenance teams.
- Facilitate and implement root cause analysis (RCFA, IDA, etc.) and corrective action processes for equipment failures, driving long-term solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Optimize maintenance strategies and life‑cycle costs through effective predictive techniques and design‑out philosophies.
- Develop engineering procedures and standards, ensuring improvement work is delivered effectively and sustainably through rigorous review and change‑control processes.
- Support the delivery of people development by identifying skill gaps and delivering training courses across operational and engineering teams.
- Liaise with OEMs and contractors, coordinating activities with safety and quality in mind and managing risks to people and product per site procedures and industry standards.
- Support CMMS development (SAP) by implementing Smart PMs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as FMEA, 5 Whys, and Pareto analysis to reduce losses and inefficiencies.
- Review and develop engineering KPI’s in line with business progress.
Expected Experience and Required Skills
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience/qualification).
- Proven experience in a reliability or maintenance leadership role within a fast‑paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Solid understanding of OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and other maintenance performance metrics.
- Proficiency in reliability tools and methodologies such as RCFA, FMEA, RCM, TPM, and 5 Whys.
- Skilled in using CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, PEMAC – SAP preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years industrial experience, including at least 2 years in a troubleshooting role.
- Excellent communication and written skills for quality reporting.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Champion of safety.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with tenacity and resilience to implement new initiatives.
- Flexibility and ability to work efficiently in a dynamic team.
