Job Description:

A leading global professional services firm is looking to hire a Director into its Finance Transformation in Deals team. The team works closely with CFOs and finance leadership through complex transactions, supporting organisations to protect and create value across the deal lifecycle. Projects span corporate and private equity environments and include some of the most visible and high-impact deals in the market.

This is a senior role with responsibility for leading engagements, shaping client outcomes, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The role

As a Director, you will lead finance-focused deal advisory engagements, working directly with CFOs and senior stakeholders on both the buy-side and sell-side.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading finance workstreams across the full deal lifecycle, from pre-deal through to execution and post-deal
  • Advising on finance operating models, integrations, separations, and broader transformation initiatives
  • Managing multiple workstreams across geographies, ensuring quality and commercial delivery
  • Acting as a trusted advisor in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
  • Supporting and leading business development activity, including client proposals and origination
  • Contributing to the development of the firm’s finance transformation and deals offering

Key responsibilities

Client delivery and leadership

  • Leading complex integration, separation, and carve-out programmes
  • Designing and implementing finance target operating models
  • Overseeing governance, reporting, and core finance processes such as record to report, procure to pay, and order to cash
  • Working closely with other advisors across legal, banking, and technology

People leadership

  • Leading and developing teams, providing coaching and support
  • Building a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Supporting the development of capability across finance transformation and deals
  • Identifying and leading new opportunities
  • Building and maintaining senior client relationships
  • Supporting go-to-market activity and thought leadership

About you

You will bring a mix of consulting and industry experience, with a strong focus on finance in deal environments.

Experience

  • Strong track record in M&A, integrations, separations, or carve-outs
  • Background in a leading consulting firm or deals advisory environment
  • Experience working with senior finance stakeholders, including CFOs
  • Proven ability to contribute to or lead business development activity

Technical skills

  • Strong understanding of finance operating models and transformation
  • Knowledge of core finance processes including record to report, procure to pay, and order to cash
  • Experience delivering complex programmes in fast-paced environments

Leadership

  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Experience leading teams and delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
