Hours: Full-Time
Location: Gloucestershire (some hybrid working arrangements)
Salary: up to £94,585 pa
We’re looking for an outstanding senior leader to shape the future of Gloucestershire’s corporate, education and rural estate for the next two years.
As our new Assistant Director of Asset Management & Property Services (AMPS), you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, efficient and future‑ready estate that supports services, communities and long‑term financial sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Provide visible, values‑driven leadership across a diverse and complex property portfolio
- Set strategic direction and inspire multidisciplinary teams
- Lead the Corporate Asset Management Plan and long‑term estate strategy
- Oversee major capital programmes and ensure strong governance, compliance and assurance
- Advise Members, Cabinet and senior leaders on asset strategy, investment and risk
- Build influential partnerships that deliver shared outcomes for Gloucestershire
We’re seeking a confident, credible leader with significant experience in asset management, property or estates within a large and complex environment. You’ll bring strong judgement, political awareness and the ability to balance strategic vision with operational delivery. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who brings people with them through change and creates a culture where colleagues thrive.
